Il Galata morente è una copia romana marmorea di una scultura ellenistica, forse realizzata in bronzo. L'opera fu commissionata tra il 230 A.C. e il 220 A.C. da Attalo I di Pergamo per celebrare la sua vittoria contro i Galati. Non si conosce esattamente l'identità dell'artista che realizzò l'opera: si ritiene che si tratti di Epigono, lo scultore della corte della dinastia dei sovrani di pergamo.
